Finally Friday!!!

Mr. Toolman took the day off of work and is working on our laundry room. I wish I would have taken "before" pictures because I think it is going to be a drastic improvement. When we bought the house, the "pantry" consisted of those white wire racks attached to a wall in the laundry room. Real attractive! Hubby is putting white beadboard on the walls with white cabinets. Above the beadboard he has painted it a cinnamon color and then will trim it out and put hooks to hang coats, bookbags, etc., on.

We have had several "visitors" to our backyard lately. Rabbits, racoons, chipmunks, squirrels and last, but not least, deer. It's really nice to have this wooded area around our house. I feel like I'm living IN the woods!

House Renovation

Last April we moved into a new house and have been busily upgrading it. Mr. Toolman finished the garage and put insulation and flooring in the attic so we would have more storage. Last month he put decorative molding at the top of our kitchen cabinets to dress them up. I love how they turned out. On October 7th, our daughter turned 14 years old! We just had a small gathering of family over for pizza, cake and ice cream. She loves rubber duckies so here is a picture of the cake I made.
She also loves softball, she has been playing for a community league since she was 7 years old and was on her middle school team last year. She requested a new softball bat and that is what she received. Along with a Nickelback CD, hairdrayer, money, etc. I then took her to the mall that Saturday to spend some money. She is so funny. She wouldn't buy anything unless it was on sale or on clearance. I've taught her well :o)
